A Long Time Coming - Cancer and Back

Hello beautiful people, 

You may have noticed that there was a long break of activity from me and Thea Caye. Just as we went to launch in 2021, I went into a health crisis that would change the trajectory of my life forever. 

I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and given a 50/50 shot of living the next 5 years. 

When I say that threw me for a loop - I mean that in the most intense, all encompassing kind of way. It was like my life was in a box and someone dumped it all out over the railing of the empire state building, plunging me into a terrifying free fall. 

I would find out later I had actually been sick for YEARS previous to our launch. I remember sitting at my desk wondering why I couldn't stay awake long enough to finish my website, or take product photography. I had no idea I was actively dying. Here's your daily reminder to not be a dick to yourself: BE KIND. You're doing your best. And drink some fricken water please. 

It took some time to naturally heal myself, to get myself into remission, and then to heal the extraordinary damage it had inflicted upon my life.  

But I'M BACK BABY! I've entered my soft girl era after everything that has happened, and I'm so excited to slowly grow with you, slowly reintroduce Thea Caye to the world, and most importantly, to step back into impacting the world around us for the better. 

Strap in darling, we're going for a lovely saunter through life.
